who will work closely with co-founder Howard D. Trachtman, BS, CPS.
These are the main components of the position, the successful
candidate(s) need not be expert in all areas.
This is a stipended position. Depending on candidates, the responsibilities
may vary based on the strengths of the applicants resulting in more than
one person being hired.

Outreach and Development Coordinator Job Description
Maintain database of NAMI GB CAN members and verify accuracy of NAMI's database
Recruit new NAMI GB CAN members and renew lapsing members
Staff NAMI GB CAN office at Boston Resource Center
Check NAMI GB CAN voice mail and email and respond to information/referral and other calls
Provide peer support as needed
Co-Facilitate monthly GB CAN business meeting at Center Club, 3rd Thursday of month 630-830pm
Visit in person or communicate with other organizations to promote GB CAN
Communicate with existing GB CAN members via phone, email and US mail
Help with GB CAN newsletter
Prepare for NAMI Walk in May and ongoing fundraising
Help coordinate legislative advocacy
Provide input on updating website
Liaison with NAMI GB CAN Board of Directors
Maintain NAMI literature and help distribute to community
Help staff GB CAN information table at conferences and events
Help organize GB CAN social events
Assist with computer class as needed
Identify needed office supplies
In Our Own Voice presenter or willing to take free training
NAMI Connection group facilitator or willing to take free training
Other duties as assigned by NAMI GB CAN management
