Peer Specialist/Parent Partner – Upton, MA
Unique full-time (36 hours per week) opportunity to join our collaborative and growing Emergency Services Team. Certified Peer Specialists help to provide a welcoming and responsive support network for consumers and their families. Primary responsibilities include providing consumers and families of consumers with information about recovery, rehabilitation and crisis self-management, arranging post-intervention services, and providing support while consumers are transitioning to follow-up care. This position is benefits eligible. Orientation, supervision and certification training provided. Some evening and weekend hours required.
Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree or higher preferred.
- Personal knowledge of area clinical providers and support systems as a consumer or family member of a consumer preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills required. Basic computer fluency (including Microsoft Office) required.
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required for local transportation.
